Will At Your Service
work on Windows Vista? |
|
Yes. At Your Service has
been fully tested on Windows Vista and found to be compatible. You
must be using a version 2.6 license or higher for full
compatibility.
If you are using
QuickBooks integration,
however, please note that Intuit has announced that QuickBooks 2006
and earlier versions are not compatible with Windows Vista
and will require an upgrade to QuickBooks 2007.

Which Versions of At
Your Service are officially supported? |

We officially support
versions 2.5 and higher. |

Is At Your Service
only for the photographic repair industry? |
|
No. At Your Service
evolved from a
DOS-based software product that was originally designed for the
photographic repair industry. However the current Windows-based
version was designed to be a generic solution that can be configured
for any repair industry. At Your Service is presently being used by
a diverse cross-section of industries such as audio/video repair,
camera repair, clock repair, computer repair, industrial electronics
repair, jewelry repair, luggage repair, musical instrument repair,
surgical instrument repair, watch repair ... and the list goes on. |

What kind of database
does At Your Service use to store its data? Can I access it
directly? |
|
Depending on the
version, At Your Service uses either a
password-protected Access 2000 database with a registered .ays file
extension, MySQL 5.0 or higher, or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or
higher.
You can directly modify
or extract data in the databases yourself using standard database
connectivity tools. However, At Your Service Software, Inc.
disclaims any and all warranties related to the software should you
enter data that causes the software to stop functioning as designed.
Technical support provided by At Your Service Software, Inc. for
assistance in directly modifying or extracting data in the database
yourself will always be billable, even if you have purchased a
support contract. |

Will At Your Service
work on Unix or Linux systems? |
|
We do not
officially support At Your Service on Unix or Linux systems, however
our users are running it successfully using
Samba hosted on Debian- and RedHat-based systems. It has also been
tested successfully with MySQL on a Linux operating system. |

In which languages
can I enter data into At Your Service? |
|
English, Chinese,
French, Japanese, Spanish, and many more languages. Please see the section
"Language
of Data Entry"

Why are my tax
settings on individual records different than my global tax
settings? |
|
If global tax
settings are changed after individual records have been
created then those individual records retain their previous
tax settings. Please see the section "Working
with Batches of Taxes" in our on-line user guide to
update tax settings on multiple records in one step. Or

with Taxes" in our on-line user guide to update tax
settings on individual records. |
